George John Andrews is a professional consultant, communications strategist, and operations expert with more than two decades of experience across the California State Capitol, high-stakes campaigns, and statewide political organizing.
He began his career in 2003 as an intern in the Capitol for Assemblyman Ray Haynes while attending UC Davis. He quickly moved into field organizing across California. In 2006, he was Deputy Field Director for the California Republican Party's Victory '06 program, overseeing ground operations in San Francisco and the Bay Area during Governor Schwarzenegger's re-election. He later became Executive Director of the Republican Party of Orange County, deepening his experience in statewide political operations.
Over the next decade, George held roles in both Capitol and district offices across the state, helping Republican legislators strengthen communications, outreach, and constituent service. He worked in the Central Valley, Antelope Valley, Eastern San Diego County, Orange County, and at the Sacramento State Capitol. His work included managing David Valadao's first congressional campaign and playing key roles in Tier 1 State Senate races for Andy Vidak and Scott Wilk. He also managed Jessica Patterson's successful run for Chair of the California Republican Party, making her the first woman elected by delegates to lead a major political party in state history.
In 2014, George managed Tom Lackey's successful Assembly flip in the Antelope Valley. Lackey, a retired CHP sergeant, brought a law enforcement voice to Sacramento. George served for several years as his Chief of Staff, helping build a district office recognized as a model of constituent service and community engagement.
In 2023, he worked as Precinct Operations Director during the Iowa caucus for a national presidential super PAC. He coordinated statewide training efforts and configured an on-demand GIS mapping system to support the recruitment and deployment of more than 1,700 precinct captains.
He returned to Sacramento as Chief Consultant for Communications and District Operations for the Assembly Republican Caucus. In 2025, he was named Press Secretary and Communications Director, leading message development, rapid response, and statewide narrative strategy.
George was named to the 40 Under 40 list by the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs. He holds a degree in History and Political Science from UC Davis and has served on the NAACP Antelope Valley Branch and the Los Angeles County Measure J Advisory Committee.

"They built a spending model that keeps growing, even when revenues do not," said George Andrews, communications director for the Assembly Republican Caucus. "We are still facing a multi-billion-dollar structural deficit. Californians are already stretched thin, and another volatile revenue proposal will not fix spending that Sacramento refuses to control."

"California is billions in the red and it is getting worse. So why are we providing cash benefits for people already outside the federal safety net while cutting Medi-Cal, mental health care, and disability services?" said George Andrews, spokesman for the California State Assembly Republican Caucus. "California cannot keep promising everything to everyone while gutting the programs working families actually depend on."
Washington Times - 10/13/2025
"Assembly Republicans opposed SB 771 because no government should get to decide what Californians are allowed to say online," said George Andrews, press secretary for the California State Assembly Republican Caucus. "You don't protect rights by punishing speech."
SF Standard - 08/21/2025
"[The @GovPressOffice] used to be a trusted channel during wildfires, earthquakes, and other emergencies. It carried real institutional weight. Now the tone undercuts that trust," wrote George Andrews, spokesperson for the California Assembly Republican Caucus. "In a real crisis, confusion spreads faster than facts. If this is how they want to politic, fine. Just don't do it from the emergency mic."
Sacramento Bee - 06/04/2025
"Republicans have consistently introduced legislation to lower the cost of living for everyday Californians, only to see those efforts stalled or ignored by the majority party," noted George Andrews, communications director for the Assembly Republican Caucus.

"This legislation undermines the justice system and ignores the pain of victims' families," said George Andrews, spokesperson for the California Assembly Republican Caucus. "Life without parole is reserved for the most heinous crimes, and rewriting those sentences retroactively is a dangerous precedent."
